The BEST Snoballs in San Antonio - Charm City!

If you live in Texas...and it's July...you need to beat the heat anywhere you can. And if you live in San Antonio or just visiting for the 4th of July weekend, there's a spot you can visit to cool your jets for an hour or so : Charm City Snoballs. This place is the BEST place, in all of San Antonio, to enjoy a tasty, cool dessert and think about 'the old days.'

For about four years, we used to live in Castroville since the original owners opened Charm City and we have continued visiting this site since it was purchased by someone else. For us, whenever we are in San Antonio, we consider this spot a piece of our home. It is a slice of heaven.

First of all, the customer service is amazing; the young men and women working are the most polite and helpful individuals. Whenever we see Jason (the owner), he recalls our previous order and repeats them to us verbatim (large ice cream w/ lots of condensed milk & medium big red w/ ice cream and condensed milk). Charm City reminds my wife of a bit of Louisiana. She was born and raised in New Orleans and says it feels like home and reminds her of being a little kid again.

Every time we visit, the young ladies working there are so nice and helpful. They are cheerful; happy to give recommendations and they never disappoint. My usual is 'strawberries and cream', my kids love the 'Dreamsicle' and my wife always gets the Lemon-Lime snow cone. They are undeniably delicious. Soon, I'm assuming we will begin experimenting with other flavors and concepts. Charm City actually keeps me excited for the weekends!

We highly recommend anyone to stop by and try them out. The one thing we have to look forward to during the scorching summers in Texas is Charm City Snoballs!
