If you've never been to (or heard of) Orange, Texas, you're not alone. It's a small city in Texas, near the border of Louisiana - about 90 minutes east of Houston. And in this tiny town, everyone loves one spot for the best Mediterranean meal you could ask for - Barry’s Greek Grill. This hidden gem offers a delightful culinary experience, blending authentic Greek flavors with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with the warm smiles of the staff and the enticing aromas wafting from the kitchen. This small, unassuming restaurant is perfect for both a casual meal and a special occasion, and it is clear that the team at Barry’s takes pride in delivering an exceptional dining experience.

A quick note of how I found this spot - I travel to Orange, Texas all the time. My clients live and work in Lake Charles (Louisiana), Beaumont (Texas) and Houston. So, every now and then, I find myself in the city of Orange while looking for something different. Since I first found this spot, it's become my go-to for the past 12 months when I'm in town. One of my favorites of Barry’s Greek Grill is the diversity of the menu, which features a wide array of traditional Greek dishes...and even pizza for picky kids. But whether you’re in the mood for a light and fresh salad, a hearty gyro, or a perfectly grilled souvlaki, there is something for everyone. The ingredients are fresh and vibrant, and each dish is prepared with a level of care that is rare to find in many places today. The tzatziki sauce, in particular, is one of the best I’ve had – creamy, garlicky, and with just the right amount of 'tang.'

The portion sizes at Barry’s are generous without being overwhelming, and everything is reasonably priced. The Greek platter is a must-try, offering a sampling of different meats, including lamb and chicken, paired with fresh pita bread, hummus, and Greek salad. The flavors are bold and authentic, and you can taste the quality in every bite. Each component complements the others perfectly, making it a great option for those who want to experience a little bit of everything.

In addition to the food, the service at Barry’s Greek Grill is outstanding. The staff is attentive and friendly, always willing to answer questions and offer recommendations. They go out of their way to make sure you feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout your meal. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority, and it really adds to the overall dining experience.

The atmosphere of Barry’s Greek Grill is another reason why this place stands out. The décor is simple yet charming, with a few nods to Greek culture scattered throughout the restaurant. The intimate size of the restaurant creates a relaxed, homey vibe that makes you feel like you’re dining at a friend’s house. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy a meal with family and friends or even for a quiet evening out.

One aspect that particularly impressed me was the consistency of the food and service. On multiple visits, the quality never wavered, which speaks volumes about the restaurant’s commitment to maintaining high standards. This is the kind of place where you know what to expect each time you visit, and it’s always going to be excellent.

There's no question that Barry’s Greek Grill is a fantastic addition to the Orange, Texas dining scene. In a town filled with BBQ and Tex-Mex, this is a refreshing change of pace. With authentic flavors, attentive service, and cozy atmosphere, it offers a dining experience that is both satisfying and memorable. Whether you’re a fan of Greek cuisine or trying it for the first time, Barry’s is sure to impress. I highly recommend stopping by and indulging in what has quickly become one of my favorite spots in town.
