The Best Hamburger in Frisco, Texas: Kenny's Burger Joint

Before I begin writing this article, you need to know two things about me - First, I graduated from Texas A&M and half of my best friend/gal pals from college moved to Frisco, Texas. Secondly, I continually search for the best burgers I can find. I know that most hamburger addicts are men...but I am an exception to the rule. I am addicted to amazing hamburgers and my not-so-trim waistline can prove it these days. Recently, I was in Frisco to see my good ol' gal pals and they took me to a spot that has the most amazing burgers north of Dallas - Kenny’s Burger Joint. This place is more than just your average burger place. From the moment you walk through the doors, the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home. The restaurant has a laid-back, cozy vibe with just the right touch of classic Americana, setting the stage for a memorable meal. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual bite with friends or celebrating a special occasion, Kenny’s delivers a dining experience that feels both relaxed and elevated.

The menu offers a fantastic selection of burgers, each one crafted with care and high-quality ingredients. I opted for the Bacon Cheddar Burger, and it was an absolute hit. Cooked to perfection, the patty was juicy and packed with flavor, while the cheddar cheese was perfectly melted, and the bacon added a crispy, smoky bite. What stood out the most was the attention to detail—the toasted bun didn’t overpower the burger, and every ingredient complemented each other beautifully. You can tell Kenny’s puts thought into every element of their burgers, from the toppings to the textures.

One of the highlights of my visit was the customizable options they provide. You can choose the doneness of your patty, and they offer a wide array of toppings to make the burger your own. Whether you prefer traditional toppings or want to mix things up with something unique, there’s something for everyone. Their signature Kenny’s Special Sauce was a pleasant surprise—it added just the right amount of tang and creaminess to tie everything together without being overwhelming. The sides are just as impressive as the burgers. The garlic fries were a standout for me—crispy, golden perfection with just the right amount of garlic to keep them flavorful but not overpowering. Their onion rings were also perfectly crispy and paired wonderfully with their house-made ranch. For those who want something a little different, Kenny’s also offers a variety of other sides, including sweet potato fries and loaded cheese fries, ensuring everyone can find something to love.

No meal at Kenny’s Burger Joint is complete without indulging in one of their milkshakes. I had the Oreo milkshake, and it was pure dessert bliss—thick, creamy, and loaded with chunks of Oreo. It was the perfect sweet ending to an already outstanding meal. The shake menu offers a variety of flavors, so you can find something for every craving. It’s easy to see why their shakes are so popular; they hit the spot and offer a nostalgic nod to classic burger joints of the past.

The service at Kenny’s Burger Joint was top-notch throughout my visit. The staff was attentive without being overbearing and made sure everything was just right. I appreciated how they took the time to explain the menu and made recommendations based on my preferences. Even though the restaurant was busy, the staff maintained a high level of care and efficiency, which added to the overall positive experience.

Now, keep in mind that there are two locations - one in Frisco (where I sampled their burgers) and one in Plano, not too far away.
