When you're in San Antonio and if you love Greek food, this is the spot for you. Demo's is my favorite dinner spot when I'm in S.A. because of three reasons: (1) Demo's always hits the spot for a fast, fresh Greek meal, (2) they provide the best gyro and falafel plates in the city and (3) those plates come with a giant Greek salad with feta, pita bread and a dolma. How's that for starters?

And...make this #4: The have the best Dolmas in the city. If you don't know what a Dolma is, it's a family of stuffed dishes associated with Ottoman cuisine, typically made with a filling of rice, minced meat, offal, seafood, fruit, or any combination of these inside a vegetable or a leaf wrapping. Wrapped Dolma, specifically, are known as Sarma, made by rolling grape, cabbage, or other leaves around the filling. The dolmas are so good and taste homemade. Well, let me tell you - Demo's has the best Dolma in San Antonio. But they also take pride is serving amazing kabobs and Greek lasagna. And did I mention affordable wines by the glass? How about the fact that their tzatziki sauce is so good and thick that people purposely order some on the side to go due to it's nice garlicky flavor (that pairs so well with the gyro)? Need I go on?

As you can tell, I love Demo's. Overall, the food is always ready really fast, and for being a Greek place they have really yummy French fries (my son loves them!).

I learned about this spot three years ago when I stopped in for lunch with my fiancé for the first time and this place did not disappoint. I was craving a salad and some protein and everything I sampled hit the spot. My fiancé ordered the gyro plate which was delicious and we also ordered spanakopita that was very tasty. We also ordered a side of Dolmas and found it so fresh and flavorful. We said to each other - "We will definitely come back here!" Well, that was three years ago and I continue to return.

In fact, during a recent visit, my husband tried the chicken demo plate and...yes! Awesome! The chicken kabobs were succulent and flavorful with the softest pita bread of existence! My husband said - "This is the best pita I have ever had! We're on the expedition of finding the best Greek food and this is number one!" Then, he ordered a delicious salad to top it all off. Not only was his plate empty, but I had to order the chicken pita to go. Wow!!!

The chicken was wrapped in the softest pita bread! It had flavors untold and the freshest taste in San Antonio! According to the menu, this spot has offered 43 years of goodness to San Antonio! From the dressing to the feta and the sea of crisp lettuce! Did I mention the freshly squeezed limeade of love?! I had never tasted limeade of love before but it's here in the heart of Texas!
