I was in the Galveston area with my family and we needed to find a spot to eat for dinner. On Wharf Road, there's quite a selection but Katie's Seafood House came highly recommended. So, we made a reservation in advance and as soon as we arrived, were promptly escorted to a table outside on the patio. The restaurant has a wonderful spacious interior complete with a bar and various ship-related décor. The outdoor patio overlooks the water with a lovely view.
Our server, named Andrew, quickly took our orders for food and drinks and we didn't have to wait long before everything arrived! We were amazed. I opted for the the 'Best Cajun Po-boy,' while my friends ordered some of the seafood platters, and we shared the Mosquito Fleet Shrimp Boil as our appetizer. There was so much sharing and comments like 'OMG, you need to try this' and 'Oh, that is wonderful. Did everyone sample this?' that we kept ordering more and more.

Also - we all ordered items to go and I purchased a few sandwiches for my family. The po-boys were fantastic - the bread was wonderfully crispy and the Cajun seasoning on the shrimp was delicious. With only the appetizers and half a po-boy, I was already pretty full! We shared the remaining food and I particularly enjoyed the fried shrimp on the seafood platter. The shrimp boil was also quite tasty - I loved dousing the peeled shrimp in butter.
During my most recent visit, we were celebrating a birthday and the entree's and apps kept flowing for two hours. The garlic bread was delicious but I definitely recommend adding the shrimp to make it mind blowing. The red snapper, prepared chef style, was cooked perfectly. I had the "best fettuccine Alfredo and boat load shrimp"; To be perfectly honest, I won't call it "the best" I've ever had but it was truly fantastic and the shrimp were perfection. I cannot complain at all. I loved it and we all toasted the kitchen when it was time to pay the bill. We loved it.
You'll also notice the rich, vibrant flavors of your meal; truly delightful. I would love to come by here again for more seafood! Everything tasted fresh, the service was impeccable, and the quantity of food was perfect. I can't wait till the next time I'm in Galveston!

It's located on Wharf Road and possesses a fantastic patio and bar. Clean, bustling with activity always a pleasure! And, by the way, if you've ever wanted to be sure your seafood is fresh, go on down to Katie's and you can literally watch them unload the seafood from the boat! How's that for a recommendation?
