Arlington, Texas, nestled in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, is a vibrant and dynamic city known for its blend of urban amenities and suburban charm. Home to the world-famous AT&T Stadium, which houses the Dallas Cowboys, and the Globe Life Field, where the Texas Rangers play, Arlington is a sports enthusiast's paradise. Beyond sports, the city offers a diverse range of attractions, including the thrilling rides at Six Flags Over Texas, educational experiences at the International Bowling Museum, and serene moments at River Legacy Parks. With a rich cultural scene, a thriving business environment, and a welcoming community, Arlington stands as a compelling destination for residents and visitors alike. And there are many restaurants that cater to the interests of the city and their beloved Texans. And one thing Texans love...is meat.
And I will tell you that I am an unapologetic steak meat lover and my his passion for the perfect cut of beef is unparalleled. It's what I adore to eat when I'm dining out. I don't care. Whether it's the sizzling sear of a ribeye or the tender juiciness of a filet mignon, my taste buds dance with delight at the mere thought of a well-cooked steak, rack of ribs or supreme filet. And when I'm in Arlington, Texas there is one spot for the best meat, dinner and dining in the city. It's named 'Cut and Bourbon.'

First thing's first - the ambience of this restaurant is elegant and beautiful. The staff creates a wonderful atmosphere to savor a delicious meal. This is a high brow establishment...so, no baseball caps and sandals, please.
Anyone with even a modicum of style will appreciate the atmosphere. During our dinner, we were greeted with a big smile from our waiter, Patrick; professional, kind and informative. Couldn't ask for better service. We started the meal with four appetizers to sample and share - glazed bacon, crab cakes, ice berg wedge salad and steak tartare. All four dishes were phenomenal. In fact, Patrick chatted with us about bringing the appetizers our in stages to ensure the quality and warmth of each dish was suitable for our meal.
And for that reason, I must commend the entire restaurant in understanding the importance of 'timing' while dining. For me, this is crucial when the dinner really counts. The timing of a fine meal is a delicate dance, where each element must harmoniously converge to create a culinary symphony. It begins with the anticipation of the dining experience, building excitement as preparations unfold. The aroma of ingredients sautéing in a pan or the gentle simmer of a savory sauce signals the imminent feast. As guests gather around the table, conversation ebbs and flows, enhancing the atmosphere with laughter and camaraderie. At Cut and Bourbon, the carefully-orchestrated progression of courses, from appetizers to dessert, allows flavors to unfold gradually, tantalizing the palate and delights the customer. This is a fundamental understanding of a professional dining establishment. It's impressive to me. Always has been.

After a little chatter and a few drinks from the bar, we took the time to order our entrees. I chose the the Tomahawk steak paired with creamed spinach. My wife took a different route, ordering their double bone lamb chop with Oysters Rockefeller as a side order. We both admitted that both meals we astounding. A few details about my order - the Tomahawk steak (a bone-in ribeye cut), was an extended frenched bone resembling a tomahawk axe handle, making for a visually striking presentation but also delivers an exceptional gustatory experience. Cut and Bourbon cooked it to perfection, boasting a superbly charred crust while maintaining a succulent and juicy interior, oozing with robust beefy flavor. I was truly impressed.

And although we didn't have the room for it, we ordered three desserts to share: the Carrot Cake, Triple Chocolate Mousse and Vanilla Bean Cheesecake. All three we enormous portions, top quality and rich with flavor. We loved them all.
Bottom-line, Cut and Bourbon provides a fine dining experience as a symphony of culinary artistry, where every element of the meal is meticulously crafted to delight the senses and elevate the dining occasion. The menu is clearly carefully curated as a dining masterpiece, showcasing the kitchen's creativity and skill, offering a fusion of flavors, textures, and ingredients that both surprise and delight.
To me, every course was a revelation, starting with intricately plated appetizers that awaken the palate, followed by exquisite main courses that are perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The drinks, service, attention-to-detail and ambiance make this place an unforgettable affair for those fortunate enough to partake in it.
