When you think of an Italian Deli, what do you think of? I can tell you what comes to my mind - A typical Italian deli is a small, older spot within a bustling city, where the aroma of freshly baked focaccia and the melodic hum of espresso machines welcome you to a slice of Italy right in your neighborhood. The shelves are lined with imported olive oils, sun-drenched tomatoes, and an array of cured meats, including velvety prosciutto and spicy soppressata. Our cheeses are a symphony of flavors, from the creamy richness of buffalo mozzarella to the sharp bite of aged Parmigiano-Reggiano. That's what comes to my mind.

And if you aren't familiar with Montgomery, Texas, it's nestled on the shores of Lake Conroe, is a charming and picturesque town that encapsulates the essence of small-town Southern hospitality. With its historic downtown square adorned by vintage architecture and boutique shops, Montgomery exudes a sense of timeless charm. The town's rich history is on display at the Lone Star Monument and Historical Flag Park, honoring Texas' role in the struggle for independence. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the natural beauty of the area by boating, fishing, or hiking around Lake Conroe, while golfers can tee off at one of the area's well-manicured golf courses. Montgomery offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, making it a hidden gem for those seeking a relaxing Texas getaway.

Now, when you combined Montgomery, Texas with the ideal Italian Deli, one word will spout out of the mouth of every person in the area - Tony's Italian Delicatessen. Owned and operated by Lori Hutchison and her daughter's Shauna & Richelle (combined with the talents of Chef Garrett Murphy, you step inside to an enchanting little Italian deli, where the delightful aroma of freshly baked ciabatta and the gentle clinking of wine glasses create an ambiance that transports you straight to the heart of Italy.

You have your option of purchasing exquisite selection of imported olive oils, sun-kissed tomatoes, and an array of artisanal cured meats, including velvety prosciutto and spicy salamis and cheeses in the front counter display case. From the menu on the wall, you'll have your choice of Carnegies, both hot and cold. If you aren't familiar with Carnegies, it typically refers to a type of sandwich inspired by the famous Carnegie Deli in New York City, although it's important to note that the Carnegie Deli closed in 2016, so this sandwich might not be available there anymore. However, you can still find variations of this sandwich in other delis and restaurants. It's important to note that the Carnegie Sandwich can be quite substantial and filling due to the generous portions of meat and toppings. It's often served in halves or quarters because of its size. While the Carnegie Deli itself is no longer in operation, you can still find similar deli-style sandwiches at other delis or restaurants that offer classic Jewish or New York-style deli cuisine. Well, regardless of which you prefer, hot or cold, Tony's Deli has you covered.

But not only that, their sandwich options don't stop there. Consider a wonderful selection from a handful of classics - "The Deniro", "Lucky Luciano," "The Devito", "The Stallone" or classics like Chicken Parm on Crusty Italian Bread, Antipasto salad or perhaps the Meatball Sub. Whatever you crave, Tony's can deliver. I guarantee it.

Best of all, for me, is the customer service. Tony's offers exceptional customer service isn't just a promise; it's a way of life.
