The city of El Paso, Texas stands on the Rio Grande across the Mexico–United States border from Ciudad Juárez, the most populous city in the Mexican state of Chihuahua with over 1.5 million people.) So, as you can imagine, there's long of Mexican cuisine. Especially, in my opinion, the BEST Mexican hot dog I have ever had.
First of all - Doggo's is insanely good! Probably my new favorite place in all of El Paso! The first time I paid this spot a visit, I ordered the 'Taco al Pastor' and the 'Sonoran dog.' OMG - Loved it! To make things easier, Doggo's has a drive thru as well as seating both inside and out. Cool tables and chairs, too for those who want to sit outside.

And just so you know, I thought this place was awesome when they only served hot dogs and tortas. Since the first day they opened on Alameda Avenue, the tortas are fantastic and the hot dogs (the whole reason for this blog post) is remarkably good. Both are among the best in the city, and that is without considering how ridiculously affordable the prices are. Two people can spend $12 and leave very happy.
The hotdogs at Doggo's are easily better than Sonic's and Wienershnitzel! Each dog is a foot long dog and is perfectly complimented by the advertised condiments. I'll state it again - some of the best hot dogs I've ever had in El Paso. And then, after paying this place about 6 visits, I couldn't make up my mind. Which hot dog do I order? The Sonora dog? The torta? Or the strawberry smoothie? All were amazing. This place is amazing and I can't wait to go back again.

But now they've added a new listing of tacos to the menu. But as I said before, the 'Tacos al Pastor' are really good and I may not be able to order anything else there again. Note: the tacos come with a baked potato, fresh avocado, salsa, and trimmings. They could easily charge twice as much as they do and I would be so happy.
You really need to go at least twice. Once for a torta or Juarez-style hot dog and again for the tacos. I've driven 20 minutes each way during my lunch hour just for the tacos.
