Its well-maintained parks, recreational facilities, and community events foster a strong sense of belonging and camaraderie among its diverse population. And although there are countless common eateries that everyone knows of (Chilis, KFC, Panda Express, etc.), one buffet offers a unique bounty of delicious options that everyone can enjoy. It's named Ashim's Eastern Euro Buffet.

My husband and I have been dying to find a good Mediterranean restaurant and they happened to open this buffet in our town! Since it opened, we've returned six times (yes, 6 times). The service was great and the food was even better! I ate more than I should have because the food was so good. The desserts were limited but also very very good. My hubby said - "Definitely recommend coming and trying again, it's worth it!"
During my most recent visit, I had a little time before an afternoon doctor's appointment and ran across the highway for another lunch. All the food was fresh, not frozen. It was also amazingly tasty...again!!! The cabbage wrapped beef was melt in your mouth delicious! The beef kabob/medallions were crisp on the outside and moist on the inside and reminded me of my moms Swedish Meatballs!!! The crapes reminded me of my moms Swedish pancakes. All of the desserts were amazing! There was about 12-14 different types of salad and I tried them all and was not disappointed! That's when I knew this spot was worthy of a great blog post.

This spot is a seamless mixture of Mediterranean, Greek, Eastern European/Western Asia culinary fare and every bite is delightful. Whatever your normal preference of cuisine, Ashim's is a welcome break from the "regular choices" in Texas.
One recommendation - show up hungry. Bring your appetite. Secondly, try a little of everything to give yourself room to sample it all. It's worth it. Discover those dishes that will keep calling you back to this wonderful experience!
