Best Coffee Shop in College Station: Carport Coffee

If you're in College State and need a caffeine kick to jump start your energy level, there's a spot I highly suggest you visit - Carport Coffee.

This spot, near the intersection of University Drive and Nagel Street, is so very different - from the ambiance to the coffee itself. The baristas are so friendly and love to chat with customers. Not only is the coffee is phenomenal, but they have everything from your sweet lattes to incredible 'pour-overs'. Also, this spot serves only the most flavorful medium roast beans. And when it comes to the atmosphere, this is the most fun and lively coffee shop!

Carport is an ADORABLE coffee shop in downtown College Station. I had driven past Carport Coffee several times before and finally caved in and gave it a shot a while ago. There is parking around the building and includes a drive-through for convenience! It's so cute!

When I first paid this place a visit, I walked in and just LOVED the interior. Carport has a modern, cozy coffee shop vibe that made me wish I had brought my laptop to sit for awhile. The baristas were extremely helpful in explaining the menu items to me. He even pulled out this amazing tea display for us to smell/sample before we made a decision! That is service.

During my first experience, I got a Cold Brew (16oz) and my best friend ordered an Iced Smoked Almond Tea (also 16oz). We then went outside to sit on the patio, which seems to be the norm for this café. There is an adorable covered patio outside with picnic-style seating. There were six or seven people sitting around us, making it an enjoyable environment.

Everything here is exceptional -- the service, the vibe, the care they put into every cup, even the cast of characters behind the bar. My job requires that I visit College Station about six times a year and I must admit that I have become a semi-regular here. It's hard to beat a pour-over crafted with love by Chris at Carport.

Overall, I will definitely be back to Carport. Not only are the beverages fantastic, but the service and atmosphere were even better. It's a win-win.

I can totally understand why people like the vibe of this cute little coffee shop. First of all, it's close to campus and it's easily accessible from any direction. During my third or fourth visit, I asked the barista what he recommended and I think it was called the 'Brown Dog.' If you enjoy chocolate, dairy, and coffee, this is for you. From my first experience alone, I would definitely come back and recommend this place as a lover of coffee. I think next time I would try a latte or another specialty drink. I truly can't wait.

No matter what you enjoy - Tacos and coffee or granola and coffee or...basically you can't go wrong here! Over the past few months, we've tried several drinks but we agree that the honey and cinnamon both iced and cold was amazing. You have to try it. It's not overtly sweet...just that right amount of sugar to make it taste fantastic!

I highly recommend this spot when your coffee urge strikes while you're in College Station!
