Anyone who reads this blog often knows that I have had some amazing barbecue in my life, but this hands down some of the best barbecue to cross my mouth. From the tender and juicy brisket, to the fall off the bone ribs, the sauce, the sausage, the sides and that fire sweet peach tea! Mr. Delvin and his family are humble, sweet and instantly make you feel like you are at home. Take it from me and do yourself a favor and immediately go receive the blessing of incredible food and amazing vibes.

Then, about a year after working in Amarillo, my sister and I stopped here while driving from Los Angeles, CA to Chicago, IL and we were not disappointed! In addition to the great pricing, the quality of the food was amazing. I ordered a two meat plate (ribs and dark meat chicken) with a side of macaroni and potato salad while my sister ordered a 1 meat plate (white chicken) with a side of cabbage and corn. We also got extra sides of cornbread muffins x2 and sweet potato casserole. All of this for like $24. We called in our order ahead and it was ready when we got there about 15 minutes later. We both noticed that the staff is friendly. We loved it and talked about it during the drive home.

During my last visit, we ordered the ribs and turkey barbecue dinner. Beyond Awesome! The turkey was smoked, juicy and delicious. Once again, the ribs fell off the bones. I never had turkey so juicy and smoked to perfection. Then, we ordered the 'O'Brien corn' and sweet potato pie. Sensational, again! It was a fantastic meal to share plus we also got a chef salad with brisket. So much food to go as well!

During my most recent visit, I had the ribs and the jalapeño sausage. The ribs were so tender that the meat pulled right off the bone. It had a great char and the sauce was on point. The sausage was tender and bursting with flavor. The sides command just as much attention on the plate as the meat. The Mac and cheese was comforting and the sweet potato casserole was dessert on a plate. The twice baked potatoes were loaded with yummy toppings and the baked beans were delicious. I wish I had room for a slice of buttermilk pie, but I will save that for next time. Everyone there was nice, but the young man watching the dining room was so sweet and helpful.

This place is a true Gem, we had the best food and service. This is a Family owned and run business. From the first taste of the sweet potato to fried ribs, catfish, pulled pork, collard greens...and don't forget the Coke-a-Cola. Outstanding!

If you are in Amarillo and not eating here..... you are missing out!! Over the years Ive eaten everything here and it was all so very good. This recent trip, I had chicken fried baby back ribs!! Try the sweet potato casserole, and the greens!!! It is all Delicious! This resturant is owned and operated by a beautiful family that takes pride in great food as well as great service!! They love what they do and it shows!!
