Even during a packed UT game, they were efficiently churning out meals that were both quick and well-prepared. The service at the window is consistently friendly, making me feel tempted to hop in my car and head straight to NOLA. The red beans and rice alone evoked a sense of nostalgia for the Bayou state. The blackened chicken nachos were more than enough to satisfy three hungry women, which speaks volumes. Honestly, I've sampled numerous dishes from their menu, and not a single one has disappointed. T&S truly embodies the essence of ideal bar food - it's a great value for your money! Plus, if you're into weightlifting, you'll have no trouble getting your protein fix here. They'll load you up with it.

In my previous career, I worked at several bars in Austin and neighboring establishments, and this place has been a favorite of mine for about a year and a half now. I have to give a shoutout to Claire - she's always there whenever I visit, and I consistently have the best interactions and experiences with her. The food and service are consistently amazing, even during busy times. Thank you all so much for always taking care of me and my friends or family from the bar industry. I highly recommend it for a fantastic quick bite and a refreshing beer while watching a football game! The ambiance is what you'd expect from a typical sports bar, nothing overly fancy, but the service and food are exceptional. Ashley at the bar is also incredibly friendly. While it may not be a five-star establishment, considering the location and the type of bar and restaurant it is, it's truly amazing. It's a fantastic spot for those in the industry looking for a low-key place with simple drinks or a selection of beers on tap.

Now, onto the hush puppies, which we can only comment on, of course. These jalapeño-infused hush puppies really pack a punch, perfectly complemented by a round from the bar. They were cooked to perfection and came with a delicious roulade for dipping. The service was both friendly and fast, and stepping inside offered a welcome escape from the Austin heat, with awesome music adding to the atmosphere.

This place is simply fantastic. Be sure to grab a drink from the bar (which is not operated by Turf N Surf) while you wait; the bartenders are incredibly friendly. You won't be disappointed by the generous portions or the high quality of the food. The local business owner is incredibly down-to-earth, and I've personally witnessed him lending a helping hand in the community. Unfortunately, COVID has led to the closure of two of his locations. It's crucial to show support for this restaurant! Turf N Surf is truly exceptional!
