Amazing Hummus in Houston: Mezza Grille

Out of all the restaurants to go to in Houston, Mezza Grille is the one I always recommend. We've been giving support to this spot for years and their food is consistently delicious, menu is extensive and service is wonderful. The staff is extremely friendly and professional, well-versed into the menu and willing to make necessary accommodations for folks with allergies. They have a full bar and amazing desserts; them once and be prepared to be a regular customer. You, your family, friends and business associates will by no means ever be disappointed. I can guarantee it.

My fiancé and I just discovered this place through Yelp and we are truly in love. The staff are friendly and attentive and the food here is amazing. The first time, we came here on a Saturday night around 8:00 pm (with no reservations) and were seated right away with a big smile from the host. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer, and my fiancé had the lemon butter chicken. I decided on the chicken parm. Within 5 minutes, we were making groaning noises and sharing our dishes - 'Oh...taste this...Oh Taste mine.' The people sitting near us shook their heads approvingly as if to say - "Yep...we agree." We both really enjoyed our food. My fiancé said his lemon butter chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly. The portion sizes are huge so we ended up having leftovers to take home. Sadly we were way too full to try the dessert menu. So we knew, that's going to require a second visit.

About a month later, we came again with a group of fun friends. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap, sweet potato fries, regular fries, Shish Tawook, Spicy Chipotle Seafood pasta and White Chocolate Bread Pudding. Everything was, once again, delicious.

Then, our office took my advice and we went for a group lunch to celebrate an associate's work anniversary. We ordered everything possible; their lunch specials are more than enough and is an excellent price. Our entire group raved over the menu and service. I kept hearing "I love everything, that I have tried, and everyone, that have gone with me, Love it too." I had made up my mind that when I want awesome flavor and want it fast, I go Mezza Grille.

Mezza Grille offers large portions and great flavor. I definitely recommend checking this place out. During a recent visit (about one hour before they closed), we ordered the mixed grill (lots of meat, rice, salad, pita, and hummus), and two wraps (falafel and chicken schwarma). My favorite menu item, I believe, is the falafel wrap. For $5, I think it was a very filling meal by itself! Not dry at all and very tasty. Love it.

Now, when it comes to Mezza Grille's hummus, I am addicted to the best flavors and a wide variety. Well, here, you have all you can handle. Amazing hummus! Their hummus has a light, creamy texture and tastes so fresh. You can tell everything made here is made from scratch and made with intention.

Mezza Grille offers a few hummus-related options to suit your preferences: Regular Hummus, Red Pepper & Eggplant dips. All come with amazing, fresh, warm and soft pita bread. There's also an amazing 'Dip Trio' for about $16. Fantastic!

The people who work here are super nice and down to earth. The menu is amazing. The value is fantastic. Pay this spot a visit, you'll thank me later.
