If you've never head of Plano, Texas, it's a vibrant city nestled within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, boasts a rich tapestry of suburban charm, economic prosperity, and cultural diversity; just north of Dallas itself. Plano is renowned for its exemplary school system, booming corporate presence, and lush green spaces, Plano offers residents and visitors alike an exceptional quality of life. Over the past six year, Plano has boomed in size due to a thriving economy fueled by major corporations in technology, finance, and healthcare sectors, coupled with a burgeoning culinary scene and a plethora of recreational opportunities. Plano is really growing. So is there culinary scene. And when it comes to Greek cuisine, lots of spots are available for your grumbling tummy. And my favorite in Plano is Zorba's!

At Zorba's, you certainly get a ton of food and will not leave here hungry. One of my favorites is the grilled octopus - really good. The slices were really thick and full of flavor. And although I typically dislike falafel, I am find myself actually ordering it at Zorba's. In most cases, I certainly still will turn my nose at most falafel but it speaks volumes if I didn't choke when I tried it here. Believe me, that's a positive.
It's important to recognize that quality Greek cuisine embodies a culinary journey steeped in tradition, authenticity, and unparalleled flavors. From the savory aromas of grilled meats seasoned with herbs like oregano and thyme to the tangy zest of freshly squeezed lemon over vibrant salads adorned with creamy feta cheese, Greek cuisine tantalizes the senses and celebrates the richness of Mediterranean ingredients. Indulge in tender gyro meat wrapped in warm, pillowy pita bread, or savor the satisfying crunch of spanakopita, a savory pastry filled with spinach and feta. Whether it's the robust flavors of moussaka layered with eggplant, potatoes, and seasoned ground meat or the refreshing simplicity of tzatziki, a creamy yogurt dip infused with garlic and cucumber, quality Greek food promises a culinary experience that transports diners to the sun-drenched shores of Greece with each mouthwatering bite. That's crucial to great Greek cuisine. And let me tell you, Zorba's hits the spot.

Originally, a long time ago, my sister and I were seeking a new place to enjoy a great Greek dinner. We found Zorba's after a shopping spree at the Preston Place Shopping Center. I had the pastitsio and wife had the Grecian chicken. Both were outstanding. The portion sizes were enough that my wife had a big lunch the next day. Service was quick and the decor was on point. It wasn't over the top elegant, but it was very nice. We will definitely put Zorba's on our rotation ... and it's our new Greek place.
Last week, I paid Zorba's a visit again. I started out with the hummus and pita bread. I'm pretty picky about hummus as I make a mean hummus myself. My husband's half Lebanese so we eat a lot of Mediterranean food. Once again, the hummus was great! They also gave us both regular and gluten free pita bread as I am trying to go gluten free. What a great group of people. Then, I ordered hummus with pita bread and a side of baklava. The seasoning in the soup is so amazing. It really hit the spot on this cold day. The hummus also equally amazing and I couldn't resist the baklava. The two gentlemen that help me today were extremely nice and pleasant. I would definitely come back dude a great service and quality food.

Take my advice, from the moment you step through Zorb's front doors, you are enveloped in an atmosphere that exudes warmth, hospitality, and a deep appreciation for culinary tradition. Every dish crafted by the skilled chefs reflects a commitment to quality, using only the freshest ingredients sourced locally and imported from Greece. The menu is a symphony of flavors, offering a tantalizing array of classic Greek dishes alongside innovative creations that pay homage to the country's culinary heritage. Whether you're indulging in Zorba's lunch or dinner menu, I'm confident that each bite is a testament to their hard work and dedication to excellence. With impeccable service and a setting that invites you to linger and savor every moment, Zorba's is not just a dining destination but a culinary journey that leaves a lasting impression on all who have the pleasure of experiencing it.
