If you're not too familiar with Arlington, Texas, it's west of Dallas. It's also home to the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), whose campus has a modern planetarium. The diversity of this city is impressive. In River Legacy Parks, for example, trails cut through hardwood forest rich in wildlife. The park also has the River Legacy Living Science Center, with aquariums, terrariums and interactive exhibits. The Dallas Cowboys football team plays at AT&T Stadium, which also hosts concerts. It's a great spot to visit and somewhat a stranger...even to Texans.

But what most people don't is Arlington contains about 400,000 people. And with a city that size, a diversity in food is bound to surface. And one of my personal passions is Indian food. And there's no better spot in Arlington, for Indian cuisine, than the India Grill.

This restaurant truly stands out as the best Indian eatery in the area. The ambiance is inviting and the service is top-notch, ensuring a memorable time. The masala dishes are bursting with flavor, and I highly recommend trying their naan, especially the delectable garlic naan. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a place that offers authentic Indian cuisine, a pleasant atmosphere, and excellent service, Indian Grill is definitely the go-to spot in Arlington.

Now, I'm going to be honest with you - a first look at the front of the restaurant, doesn't cause any great impression, but It is a nice surprise when you get inside. Comfortable and clean atmosphere with a nice decor. It's an an overbearing ambiance, but an attractive environment, decorated to celebrate the culture of India.

I'm going to tell you about three experiences I had here so far - two dinners and one lunch. All three were fantastic.

For me first dinner at the Indian Grill, I started the meal with the plain naan which was fresh, yummy and flavorful and paired well with my entree of choice: Chicken Curry. I ordered the medium spice level and I realized I could probably have requested the highest level of spicy. But, no harm done. It was my choice. The accompanying basmati rice to the curry was delicious, once again flavorful and really hit the spot. I also noticed that the staff are kind and attentive; sweet and work quickly to fulfill your order. I left the restaurant thinking, "I need to give lunch a try."

Two months later, I was back in Arlington and I kept my word...'Lunch it is!' I ordered Tandoori Chicken and Samosas. Now, I'm telling you the truth: I ate the tandoori so fast that I even take a picture. That's how good it was. Honestly, the samosas weren't as flavorful as I'd like but when I tasted them with the sauce from the fried cauliflower - very tasty! I will say, the cauliflower is a must order when you are here! After my lunch, I said to myself, "Okay...one more dinner to be thorough."

Two weeks later, on a Wednesday evening, I brought a friend with me and we 'went nuts' on the menu, ordering a ton of stuff. And once again, the food here was great. But my friend ordered the Chicken Biryani and she loved it. I ate a portion of it (just to try it) and it was truly exceptional. The rice was very flavorful and the chicken was moist, I wish the portion sizes were were bigger though because it was that good! Then, we ordered the Goat Karahi and Garlic with the Bullet Nana which was also enjoyable. But the Chicken Biryani was so fantastic that we each ordered one to go. I'm not kidding. It was definitely the highlight of the night. I really wanted to try the Jalebies but they only have them in the weekends so I said to myself - "Well, it's worth noting that if I ever wanted to sample this spot on a weekend, now I have a reason."

What more can I say? Delicious lunch, amazing dinner, fantastic service with fabulous entrée, specials and bread. Give this place a try!
