Let me tell you how I learned of this spot.
My employer arranged a team outing at Tre Cooking Concepts and I had no idea what to expect. I had never heard of this place but I was optimistic that I'll have a lot of fun. We split up in teams and had 'a cook off.' The instructor gave us a handful of mandatory ingredients and everyone had to cook two different dishes but use all the ingredients; two rules -you could not Google on your phone for recipes and work as a team to foster creativity.
The point was We had to come up with different dishes and explore our ingenuity. For the event, we were given pork loin filets. And even though I thought ours came out pretty good, we didn't win. Chef Tre was there (the owner) and was very involved which made it even more fun. He told some stories, joked around, tried some of your food, made wise cracks, etc. He made it entertaining. Sometimes, we had to stop cooking just to walk to the side of the kitchen and laugh. Fantastic experience.
After all the teams were done, he graded the dishes based on creativity, flavor and presentation. The other team could sample whatever food was left. What an awesome concept!

Then, we also had a lunch included which included shrimp with grits appetizer. This dish was awesome, great flavor and just enough heat and the shrimp had good flavor and was cooked perfectly. They also served a chicken dish which was good and had macarons and assorted cupcakes as dessert. Everyone loved the outing. They also have special nights where couples can cook different types of cuisines and other types of events. That's a great idea.
Couples cooking classes are limited to 6 couples in order to keep the experience small and intimate. You and your partner are treated to an interactive cooking lesson.
With upbeat music helping set the mood, you’ll pair off and work together to prepare three recipes from the evening’s global small plates menu. As each recipe comes together, guests savor the dishes hot from the oven. Bringing your own beverage is not only recommended, but also encouraged. Feel free to bring enough to share.
The kitchens are amazing, great space to work in. The chef instructors are always super friendly, great chefs with impressive backgrounds and great teachers. The rest of the staff is always helpful and gives you the best experience you can imagine.
I have taken a few classes each year since and will come back for more whenever I can. The classes are very educational, and always go beyond just following instructions and recipes. Coming home with the treats made in class is always great, and I always feel like I can do this again at home without a problem.

I would recommend this school to anyone who is interested in baking and would like to learn how it is done in a professional setting.
The best part about this class is that no experience is needed. The fee includes cooking instructions, a meal of three hearty appetizers, copies of the recipes to take home and a fun night of cooking with new friends.
